New ACCME Certificate Program Coming Soon: Educational Design and Program Improvement
ACCME is launching a new competency-based certificate program to help accredited continuing education professionals design, evaluate, and continuously improve CE programs in alignment with ACCME requirements. The ACCME Certificate in Educational Design and Program Improvement will prepare participants to connect their CE programs with organizational mission and strategic priorities, design education intended to produce measurable improvements, assess learner and program-level change, and use outcomes data to strengthen program effectiveness and demonstrate educational impact.
Registration opens Monday, October 12, 2026, for the Winter 2026–27 Cohort of all three ACCME Certificate Programs. Programs begin January 4, 2027.
- ACCME Certificate in Educational Design and Program Improvement
- ACCME Certificate in the Implementing the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited CE
- ACCME Certificate in Data Management for Accredited CE
Through applied assignments, ACCME staff support, peer learning, and a validated assessment process, participants will gain practical tools to operationalize accreditation requirements and advance CE as a strategic organizational asset. Watch for registration details this fall and plan to join the winter cohort.
Pinnacle Awards Nomination Deadline Tomorrow: August 28
Time is running out to recognize the people and programs moving accredited continuing education forward. ACCME is accepting nominations for the 2027 Pinnacle Awards through tomorrow, August 28, 2026. Nominate yourself, a colleague, or a program for leadership, mentorship, administration, or programmatic impact that advances healthcare practice and improves patient outcomes.
