For the Engages in Research/Scholarship Criterion, does the CME team have to construct, lead, and analyze the research, or can another group within the accredited provider take the lead?
The CME team does not have to take the lead on the management of the research project. However, the research must be related to the effectiveness of and/or best practices in CME.
Are measures of team performance acceptable for the Improves Performance Criterion?
Yes. Providers can demonstrate that CME activities improve the performance of individuals or groups of learners—including teams—to meet the expectations of the Improves Performance Criterion.

Are there special requirements for activities posted on online and social media platforms, beyond those outlined in the ACCME Criteria, Standards and Policies?
No. The current requirements, including the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education (the Standards) apply to all accredited education whether the educational venue is in-person or virtual.

Can a provider leave it up to an individual who controls content to determine if his/her financial relationship is relevant and needs to be mitigated?
No. The provider cannot delegate the responsibility for identifying relevant financial relationship solely to the person with the financial relationship.
