ACCME Modernized PARS Web Services API—Rollout Sign Up Now Available
We’re excited to share an update on the ACCME Modernized PARS Web Services API. On Monday, March 2, 2026, we began rolling out sandbox credentials for all providers, following an earlier soft release with partners programs to validate the experience and ensure their integrations are updated.
What’s new
- JSON replaces XML as the primary data format to improve performance, efficiency, and overall developer experience.
- Improved Authentication using JSON Web Token (JWT) to provide a more secure way to access your organization’s data.
If your organization is interested in onboarding, please sign up here to receive a notification once the next cohort roll out dates become available.

Your Path to Commendation
This is the first in a series of “Commendation Tips, Strategies, and Provider Perspectives” designed to support and encourage accredited providers to pursue Accreditation with Commendation.
For some accredited CME providers, Accreditation with Commendation can feel like a reach goal—a step that might seem difficult to fit into an already full workload. The good news is that ACCME’s Menu of Commendation Criteria is designed to be flexible and allow you to build on your existing program.

Andrew Crim
Why Pursue Commendation?
Providers who achieve Accreditation with Commendation report increased innovation, improved outcomes, and enhanced visibility for their organization. To get one provider’s unique perspective, we spoke with Andrew Crim, Director of Education and Professional Development at the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG). By following the Menu of Commendation Criteria, Andrew was able to plan and deliver education in new ways—and show clearer results for his organization.

Attention providers who offer enduring material activities – You must update the total cumulative learner counts as of at least December 31, 2025 for each of your enduring material activities.
