ACCME 2019 Meeting Recap

Our 2019 annual meeting was a terrific success with a record-breaking attendance of 625 continuing education leaders & stakeholders from 448 healthcare-focused organizations in 48 states and 7 countries.

With an overall theme of “Spring Forward,” the ACCME 2019 Meeting offered 72 breakout session options, daily plenary sessions, a Public Health Fair, Health Professions Open House, Homeroom Groups, and our first ever Research Exchange session. Also new this year was the incorporation of 14 Patient Partners throughout the meeting as well as facilitating the sharing of attendees’ “CME Stories” via the meeting app as a result of a call for stories. Additionally, the meeting offered both a Starting Point pre-meeting session for those new to CME as well as a separate post-conference meeting on adolescent health and CME offered in collaboration with the Region 5 Office of Health & Human Services’ Office of Adolescent Health.

We hope you will join us for the ACCME 2020 Meeting on May 5-8 at the Hilton Chicago!

“[The best part was the] inspiration by peers and by leaders in the field in an intimate setting. Because there are only just over 500 attendees, it created an opportunity to truly engage with peers, speakers, and leaders. ACCME has evolved to true focus on education vs. accreditation administration.”

“Homeroom leaders did a good job encouraging us to comment on the sessions we went to. Those comments gave me different perspectives and I loved that!”
