Susan DuBois, CPCS, CPMSM is an independent health care consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the areas of credentialing, privileging, medical staff management, physician relations, peer review, accredited education, compliance, physician contracting and physician compensation.
Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Ms. DuBois spent 33 years working for Intermountain Healthcare, an integrated healthcare delivery system with 33 hospitals, a health plan, and a large employed medical group. At the time of her retirement in 2021, she was the Assistant Vice President of the Office of Physician and Advanced Practice Professional Affairs. In her role, Ms. DuBois provided leadership and strategic and operational direction for physician and APP affairs including credentialing, privileging, human resources, compensation, education and communication.
She had system-wide responsibility for Intermountain’s Medical Staff Services program including the Centralized Credentials Verification Program. In addition, she had system wide accountability for Physician Compensation; Physician and APP Relations and Communications; Interprofessional Accredited Education and Graduate Medical Education. Ms. DuBois is certified by and has held multiple leadership roles for the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) including serving on the Executive Committee of the Board from 2015 – 2018 and serving as the 2017 President.
