INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY—THE CPD/CE WORKFORCE SURVEY
We are pleased to announce the first-of-its-kind CPD/CE Workforce Survey will open in mid-February. The survey is a collaborative effort of the ACCME, Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (Joint Accreditation), State Medical Society Recognized Accreditors, the Alliance for Continuing Education of the Health Professions (ACEHP), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME), and the Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UIC). Primary contacts of organizations accredited by the ACCME, Joint Accreditation, and State Medical Society Recognized Accreditors will receive the survey. Learn more about the survey here.

CE COMMUNITY CELEBRATES HEALTHCARE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS DAY JAN. 24
ACCME celebrated its first Healthcare Continuing Education Professionals Day January 24, 2025! In collaboration with our founding partners, Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions, The American Nurses Credentialing Center, Association for Hospital Medical Education, Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education, Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education, we celebrated the first annual day of recognition for our esteemed healthcare continuing education professionals. Accredited providers across the community shared messages on social media, promoted the value of accredited CME, and recognized their teams with celebrations, using the hashtags #CEProfessionalsDay and #AccreditedCMEDelivers.
ACCME posts throughout the month of January across all platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X), registered 16,166 impressions, 1,409 engagements, 906 clicks, and an engagement rate per impression of 8.7%! On Jan. 24, our single, primary post had 3,987 impressions and 286 engagements across all platforms.

To help you explain, we’ve created a new video “Your Essential Role in Maintaining Trust in Accredited CE.” This video is perfect for planners, faculty speakers, authors, and reviewers. REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FOR OPIOID ANALGESIC RISK EVALUATION AND MITIGATION STRATEGY (OA REMS) GRANTS
The goal of the Opioid Analgesic (OA) Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Program Companies (RPC’s) Continuing Education Request for Application (CE RFA) is to support high-quality REMS-compliant accredited continuing medical education (CME) or continuing education (CE) to educate prescribers and other healthcare providers (HCPs), including pharmacists and nurses, on the treatment and monitoring of patients with pain. REMINDERS
COMPLETING YOUR ANNUAL REPORTING IN PARS
All accredited providers are required to log in to the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) and complete their annual reporting requirements between now and March 31, 2025 at 11:59pm CT.
To complete your annual reporting requirements, you must:
- Accept the terms of the ACCME annual agreement, located on the dashboard in PARS under Provider Agreement(s).
- Enter all activities that started in 2024 and close all activities that also ended in 2024.
- If you provide enduring material activities, update the cumulative learner counts as of December 31, 2024. Enduring materials should remain open until the end date, which may be up to three years from the start date.
- Complete and submit your Program Summary, located on the dashboard in PARS.
- Review and update your contact information. You can do this by clicking Back to Accreditation Management in the top right section of the PARS dashboard.
Please note: Providers accredited by a state medical society may be required to complete their annual reporting requirements earlier and should check with their Recognized Accreditor for more information.

Virtual Annual Reporting Office Hours
Mark your calendars! ACCME is offering virtual Zoom office hours on Tuesday, March 11th from 1:00-2:00pm CT to answer your annual reporting questions and help you understand the reporting requirements, navigate PARS, and complete your data entry before the March 31 deadline. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email with Zoom connection details.
