Available Now: Register Activities for ABPMR Continuing Certification Credit

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) are pleased to announce that all accredited CME providers in the ACCME System are now welcome to register CME activities that meet ABPMR Continuing Certification (CC) requirements and to submit learner completion data in the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). Activities with a start date of on or after January 1, 2025, are eligible.

ACCME will conduct one-hour training webinars in January for accredited providers to learn to report CME that counts for ABPMR CC requirements. Visit our Events page to select a free support session and register.

Physicians can browse activities registered for ABPMR CC in CME Passport, a publicly available, online CME search tool that offers a one-stop resource for physicians seeking to earn CC participating in accredited CME. The list will display CME activities registered for ABPMR certification.

The collaboration with the ABPMR continues the ACCME’s commitment to supporting physicians’ commitment to lifelong learning and to easing burdens on physicians by enabling them to meet multiple professional requirements by participating in accredited CME. See the complete list of collaborating boards here. CME for MOC program requirements for all collaborating boards can be found in the CME that Counts for MOC Program Guide.

“Accredited CME is an integral component of the ABPMR Continuing Certification program and supports our mission to serve the public by providing high-quality patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation,” said ABPMR Executive Director Carolyn Kinney, MD. “We are pleased to partner with ACCME to offer diplomates expanded access to clinically relevant educational opportunities to stay current with the latest research and innovation in the field.”

“This new collaboration with ABPMR empowers the robust community of accredited education providers to offer board-certified physiatrists easy access to effective, relevant education that meets their needs and supports their dedication to delivering the highest quality care,” added Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc, President and CEO, ACCME. “By working together, ABPMR and ACCME are creating new opportunities for driving quality in our medical profession and for optimizing the care delivered to the patients and communities we all serve.”
