The provider described an activity that was planned by an assistant district attorney, a nurse, a social worker, and physicians from a variety of specialties – pediatric, neurology, and pathology. Faculty for this activity included forensic medicine specialists, a lawyer, a neuropsychologist, a nurse, a nurse practitioner, physicians from a variety of specialties, public health agency liaisons, a public safety official, a researcher, a social worker, and government employees. The activity was designed to enhance the healthcare team’s ability to recognize and respond to cases of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma.
