The provider presented a collaboration with the institution’s School of Law and Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities to address racial disparities in health care as the focus of the annual medicolegal symposium; a collaboration with the addiction professional society, a state medical board and a government agency to address the changing landscape of office-based opioid treatment; a collaboration with the state medical association and ten state and county stakeholders, including a state board of pharmacy and a governor’s taskforce to address safety and efficacy in prescribing opioids; and, a collaboration with the department of mental health to address chronic and complex behavioral health issues throughout their state.
