Criterion 6

The provider develops activities/educational interventions in the context of desirable physician attributes [e.g., Institute of Medicine (IOM) competencies, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Competencies].

As the provider plans its activities or educational curriculum, it considers those attributes that have been identified by stakeholder groups (e.g., the Institute of Medicine, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the American Board of Medical Specialties or others) as important for the physician and/or the practice of medicine, and integrates or addresses the attributes in their activities.
