Criterion 10

The provider actively promotes improvements in health care and NOT proprietary interests of a commercial interest (SCS 5).

In support of independence, the accredited provider ensures that its activities promote improvements in healthcare over the business interests of commercial interests. To ensure this independence, providers should design activities to address professional practice gaps (Criterion 2), and comply with the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support: Standards to Ensure Independence in CME Activities, and the content validity policies.
