The provider stated that if employees of ACCME-defined commercial interests are used as faculty, the provider would not include the activity as part of its accredited CME program. However, three employees of commercial interests presented sessions related to the business lines or products of their employers at several accredited activities. The provider did not demonstrate, in these circumstances, that measures were taken to ensure the independence of the activity (SCS 1).
